This print was inspired by the great hot rod art of “Big Daddy” Ed Roth. The car is Archie’s usual 1965(ish!) Ford Mustang. A lot of fans are under the belief that Archie continues to drive “Betsy” (Yeah. The car had a name!) his more famous old Model T. Back in the 80’s however, Archie finally traded up for “Betsy II,” the 60’s era Mustang that he continues to drive today. I say “60’s era” because while I mostly look at the 1965 model when drawing his car, I sometimes cheat a little a borrow from the ’66 or even later!
