DESCRIPTION:  \nIt’s time for Garden State Comic Fest 2019! \nMy next stop in the 2019 Comic Book Convention season is one of my favorites! Garden State Comic Fest is always a fun show. There’s always a great line-up of artists and I always see people I know all over that show. This year GSCF has opened up TWO rinks for their Artists Alley\, the Heroes and the Villains rinks. For those not familiar with the venue\, the Mennen Arena is a hockey rink so these rooms are literally big huge ice rinks! I’ll be in the Heroes rink at Table 174\, a nice corner spot! Thanks\, Dave & Sal\, the two very kind gentlemen who run the show and who very kindly invite me every year. I love these guys! \nNext to me in Artists Alley will be my pal and protege\, the great Fabio Redivo! Fabio and I have worked up a brand new Archie Vs Predator print that we’ll be debuting at the show! \n \nThis will be a great… and rare opportunity… to pick up one of these prints and get it signed by both Fabio and myself! SUMMARY:Dewey's Comic City Signing!
DESCRIPTION:The 2018 DIE KITTY DIE HEAVEN & HELL World Tour continues! \nMy next stop is one I’m very much looking forward to. Saturday May 12th I’ll be appearing at the great Dewey’s Comic City in beautiful Madison\, New Jersey to sign comic books and draw FREE sketches! \nFor twenty years\, I had a long\, uninterrupted streak of Free Comic Book Day appearances at Dewey’s. This year\, I had to break that run due to a conflict in scheduling. It really broke my heart as I truly love Dewey’s and have nothing but tremendous affection and respect for the original Dewey’s owner\, Dan Veltre\, as well as current Dewey’s owner\, my protege\, the talented Anthony Marques! Fortunately\, this Saturday\, I can make up for my absence on Free Comic Book Day. \nNot only will this event be a sort of compensation for my FCBD absence\, but it is also in celebration of the new comic book\, Savage Tales: Vampirella\, released just this past week and published by Dynamite. This book is significant because it features artwork by both Anthony Marques and myself.  Note that my contribution is five pages pencilled and two inked. You can check out a couple of those pages below. \n  \nThis issue features a stylish cover by Robert Hack: \n \nMake sure you grab a copy and bring it by on Saturday to Dewey’s. DESCRIPTION:We’re in the thick of the 2018 comic book convention season and the Die Kitty Die Heaven & Hell 2018 World Tour continues with one of our favorite stops of the year\, the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo! We have often been guests of this show and we have always been impressed by what a great show it is and how well this show treats and cares for its guests. DESCRIPTION:  \nThe 2018 Comic Book Convention season has begun! \n  \nIn truth\, it began earlier this month with my appearance at Toronto’s Toronto Comic Con. Unfortunately\, with my busy work and teaching schedule\, I didn’t have the opportunity to post that one here on my Events page\, but hopefully you saw it on other avenues of my social media. This time\, though\, I am posting about my next appearance on my convention world tour… ZAPP COMIC CON 2! \nHosted by Zapp Comics\, one of the best comic shops in northern New Jersey\, this is the second year for this event. App Comic Con will be a one day show on March 31st at the Wayne Fire Co #1 in Wayne\, NJ. The show runs from 9am to 7pm so its a nice full day. I’ll be there of course with a lot of artwork from Archie\, Pixie Trix\, Animal Jam\, and of course lots of Die Kitty Die pages. A few people have already reached out to me about pre-arranging for commissions that they’ll be picking up at the show. I’m still available for this but please act fast. As I type this\, Zapp Comic Con 2 is less than a week away! \nNot only will I be there\, but a number of my very talented students from the Kubert School will also have tables there and be available for commissions. DESCRIPTION:  \nHappy Halloween\, Everybody! \nIn anticipation of the scariest day of the year\, I’ll be celebrating at Dewey’s Comic City on Saturday October 28th from 1pm thru 4pm for there first ever Dewey’s Comic City SPOOKTACULAR! I’ll be signing comics and drawing free sketches so please make plans to come on by! \nIf you’ve followed this site\, you know of my long relationship and fondness for Dewey’s. Well\, there’ve been BIG changes there lately! Dewey’s founder\, the great Dan Veltre\, a dear\, dear friend and a huge supporter of my work from the very early days of my career\, has decided to retire… and a well-deserved retirement it is! Have no fear! Dewey’s will live on and the old place is now in the very capable hands of the great Anthony Marques! Yes! That’s right! My pal\, former student and editor at Dynamite Comics has taken over the great Dewey’s assuring that the place will continue on very prosperously and be as great a shop as its always has been! Good luck\, Anthony! \n \nHere I am with Anthony and Dan at a past Free Comic Book Day. Anthony assures me I will continue to have my annual seat at Dewey’s every Free Comic Book Day so I hope to still see all my old friends there. \nFCBD is still a few months away and Halloween is almost here so I’m happy and proud to announce that Saturday\, October 28th Dewey’s will be hosting its first ever SPOOKTACULAR with many incredible sales and featuring ME! I’ll be there from 1 pm thru 4 pm signing comics and drawing FREE sketches. DESCRIPTION:The 2017 Convention Season continues! My next stop on the 2017 Die Kitty Die Hollywood Or Bust World Tour is Hal-Con 2017 in Halifax\, Nova Scotia\, Canada. The show will be going on from September 22 thru September 24th. This will be my first time attending this show so I’m very much looking forward to it and to visiting… as best as I can while at a convention… the great city of Halifax.  Thanks to the organizers for inviting me as a guest. \nThis time I won’t be traveling with my usual Die Kitty Die co-hort Dan Parent\, but I will be in Artists Alley with our pal and regular Die Kitty Die contributor\, Gisele Lagace! This is going to be a busy show for me with events happening every day. Here’s what I’ve got going on so far… \nOn Friday\, there will be a Die Kitty Die panel at 4pm at Room 301. \nOn Saturday\, I will be taking part in a Drawing Workshop at 1215 in Room 306. \nOn Sunday\, at 2pm\, I’ll be taking part in one of our notorious sketch duels on the Coca Cola Stage! DESCRIPTION:San Diego Comic Con is now behind us… and thanks to everyone who came out to see us and try Die Kitty Die… but the 2017 Die Kitty Die Hollywood Or Bust World Tour just keeps on rolling! \nOur next stop is Saturday July 29th at one of my all-time favorite comic shops\, the great Dewey’s Comic City in beautiful Madison\, NJ! I’ll be there with my Die Kitty Die partner\, Dan Parent. We’ll be signing copies of our brand new\, fresh off the presses\, Die Kitty Die special\, the Die Kitty Die Summer Vacation Special! Dewey’s proprietor and my long time pal\, Dan Veltre\, assures me Dewey’s will have plenty of copies of the Summer Vacation Special on hand. Make sure you don’t miss out. Come on by ! Dan and I will be there from 1pm to 3pm-ish signing comics and drawing sketches! We may even have a print or two on hand for sale. \n \nWith both of our busy schedules\, store appearances can be tough to line up let alone lining up appearances that we can both be at together so please take advantage of this rare opportunity to see us both in the same place! If you’ve already picked up our Die Kitty Die books\, this is a good chance to get them signed by the both of us. Plus\, Dan’s new series for Archie Comics\, Your Pal\, Archie\, arrives in comic shops this Wednesday! I’m sure Dewey’s will be carrying plenty of copies. It really is one of the best comic shops I’ve ever known… and I don’t just say that because Dan Veltre is a good friend and he’s been a huge supporter of my career since my earliest days. It really is a very nice\, family-friendly shop with lots of everything! \nOne last thing… If you can’t make it to Dewey’s and you still want our Die Kitty Die Summer Vacation Special\, please make sure your local comic shop orders it. Lately I’ve been on a personal crusade against consumer complacency! All too often since Dan and I launched Die Kitty Die\, I keep hearing from fans\, “My store didn’t get it.” Look\, My Friends! In this day and age\, where a lot of comic shops are ordering conservatively and tightly\, you can’t take the chance that they will order everything that you want… especially a relatively new independent off-beat book like Die Kitty Die. It would be nice if shops everywhere ordered dozens of copies of Die Kitty Die for their shelves\, but they don’t. Comic retailers need to be told in advance that their customers will buy this book. Call your local comic shops and make sure they order Die Kitty Die! \nOkay! That’s my speech! Now I hope we’ll see lots of folks come out for the beach party on the 29th. Knowing Dewey’s the way I do\, I know Dan is going to organize a blast! Don’t miss it! \n

This year May 6th is FREE COMIC BOOK DAY and this year\, it could be one of the BIGGEST FCBDs for me yet! \n  \nOnce again\, I’ll be at my regular FCBD hangout\, the great Dewey’s Comic City in beautiful Madison\, NJ. Dewey’s proprietor\, my good friend\, Dan Veltre\, does a great job turning FCBD into a huge event! I’ll be there alongside my friends and colleagues\, Anthony Marques\, Fabio Redivo\, and many more. We’ll be signing comic books and drawing sketches for FREE! Plus in addition to the free comics\, Dan usually has lots of sales and other deals going on. Please check it out! As you can see from the pic above\, Dan loves me! \nThis year\, I’ll have TWO comic books as part of the Free Comic Book Day giveaway. First off\, Die Kitty Die has a special exclusive story in Chapterhouse Publishing’s Captain Canuck Free Comic Book Day Special. This isn’t just a reprint of old stuff like many FCBD offerings. SUMMARY:NEW JERSEY COMIC EXPO
DESCRIPTION:  \nThis is it\, Folks! The 2016 DIE KITTY DIE WORLD TOUR wraps up for me this November 19 and 20 at the NEW JERSEY COMIC EXPO at the New Jersey Convention & Exposition Center in Edison\, New Jersey. \n  \nAfter a very busy\, whirlwind year\, my FINAL convention appearance of 2016 will be at the NJ Comic Expo. I’ll be there with Dan Parent. Be sure to look for BOTH of us as the convention didn’t place us side by side as most shows do. Our tables\, although separate\, are\, I’m told\, close to each other. Keep an eye out! Incidentally\, Dan still has one or two more conventions ahead of him this year\, but this will be it for me until next year. If you haven’t gotten your Die Kitty Die hardcover or any of our single issue variants\, this is a great opportunity to pick those up and get them signed by the both of us. \nMy beloved alma mater\, the Kubert School\, will be celebrating its incredible 40th Anniversary year at the NJ Comic Expo with  a special panel event featuring many of our celebrated graduates from the past four decades. Please be sure not to miss this very special event. \nAs I said\, this is my last appearance of 2016. I’m already lining up many shows for 2017 when Dan and I launch the 2017 DIE KITTY DIE HOLLYWOOD OR BUST World Tour. DESCRIPTION:  \nIt’s NEW YORK COMIC CON 2016! \nThis October 6th thru the 9th\, I’ll be appearing at NYC’s Jacob Javitz Center in Artists Alley. I’ll be at the big DIE KITTY DIE table which is Table I-11 right in between Dan Parent and our friend\, the incredibly talented Gisele Lagace\, artists of Pixie Trix Comix\, Archie Meets Ramones\, and the upcoming Betty Boop series for Dynamite! \nIt’s going to be an ultra-special show for us! Dan and I are planning this year’s DIE KITTY DIE Kickstarter campaign. This will be for our SECOND Die Kitty Die book titled\, DIE KITTY DIE: HOLLYWOOD OR BUST! Our favorite beautiful young witch\, Kitty Ravencraft\, is in Hollywood trying to make a movie. Once again\, there are evil forces out to kill her! This time its a mystery? We hope to make this book even better than the first one. Please come on by our table and find out more.
