The DIE KITTY DIE Kickstarter was a success beyond our expectations.
When my Astro Comix partner, Dan Parent, and I first launched our campaign, we hoped we could achieve our initial goal and not make fools out of ourselves. A lot of friends and fans rallied to us though and really helped our campaign take off. It wasn’t all about the money. Many of our supporters helped us contact retailers, spread the word about Kitty, and just make the whole campaign a real fun experience! It was a blast! Dan and I are already planning to do it again next year!
This illustration was an early idea for a possible cover. It will still find its way into the final Kitty volume one way or another. The beautiful colors which really make the piece were by the great Anwar Hanano!
