This weekend I was very happy to pick up my comp copies from Dynamite at the New Jersey Comic Expo. I’ve been looking forward to these and so I was very eager to get my hands on ’em. After twenty-two years of having my work being steadily published, it’s nice to be able to say that the thrill of seeing certain projects in print is still there. Joining the Dynamite team has really sustained that freshness and excitement.
Since joining Dynamite earlier this year, I’ve drawn a number of very diverse projects. I’ve written and drawn stories for BOO: The World’s Cutest Dog. There’s the above cover. Recently I’ve also drawn a pretty big project that I still can’t talk about but hope to very soon. Currently, I’m involved with another property that I also can’t talk about. I’ve done a cover for this one and I’ll be drawing and writing. I’m looking forward to announcing this soon. I sure can’t wait to post the cover. I’m very proud of it.
Dynamite has been good to me this year and I hope it keeps going into 2017. I do have to give a lot of thanks to Dynamite Assistant Editor Anthony Marques, a former student of mine, who has really been taking care of means has really kept me busy with one project after another. I never know what I’m going to be drawing next for him but its always interesting and fun! Stay tuned!
