Here is a private commission for an Afterlife With Archie #11 cover. Of course Afterlife With Archie fans all share the frustration that there never has been a real honest-to-God Afterlife With Archie #11. The all-too brief series simply stopped with #10 and another issue never materialized. Archie Comics refuses to describe the series as “cancelled.” Instead they’ve consistently categorized it as simply “on hiatus” leaving the door open I guess for the series to one day continue. If this ambiguous status has changed, I’m not aware of it.
The limbo-bound series leaves behind many, many passionate fans. One of these fans reached out and commissioned me to draw this cover. I went a little further than what the commissioner requested but I’m sure he won’t mind. He did specifically say he wanted to leave me room to have fun… and that I did! This is just the pencil stage. I’ll be posting the inks and full colors soon
I’m behind on commissions right now. Completing Die Kitty Die: Starstruck and its accompanying specials took up much of the end of 2020. Now I’m in the midst of catching up on all those long-delayed commissions. I thank everyone out there for their patience and for bearing with me.
